I've just updated the site to show the newest additions to our family.
After we lost Pippin the new barn we'd special ordered was delivered that next
weekend. We all avoided the brand new barn for a couple of weeks. One day when we were out tending to our other
two horses my oldest daughter asked me if we were going to adopt another foal. I asked her if she was ready to.
She said that she loved Pippin but that there were still foals that didn't have a home or somebody to love them. She
said she wasn't looking to replace Pippin but that we had the space and the love to give and that we shouldn't grieve for
Pippin too long before we adopted another that needed help. .....BOY.....out of the mouths of babes,
eh?
Well, on Father's Day my husband couldn't take it anymore & he loaded us
all up into the truck and said, "We're goin' to the farm." I knew what he meant. We didn't say anything to the
kids, we just drove. They figured out where we were going when we were about 1/2 way there. We picked these two
guys out as they had "buddied-up" at CCHRA and we didn't see fit to break them up. So the girls named them and they
are now in the new barn.
We planted a Royal Palowmia tree over Pippin's grave. It is growing well
and will provide good shade in the years to come.
Enjoy the pics of the "boys" and don't forget to sign the guestbook!
